Gwen, Dental Hygienist
Originally from upstate New York, Gwen moved to Alaska with her family when she was 10 years old. After attending high school in Homer, Alaska she went on to attend and graduate from the University of Alaska, Anchorage with a degree in Applied Science, Dental Hygiene, in 1996. Upon graduation, she moved to the "Valley of the Sun" in 2000. Gwen has been working with Dr. Stansberry since 2009 which has "been nothing short of an exciting adventure as he grows his practice!” She appreciates Dr. Stansberry for his commitment to exposing his team to the latest and greatest services in the healthcare industry and continuing her education of dental practices, which has enabled her to treat my patients with the highest skill level possible. She loves the office and her team members, but most of all, her patients!
In her free time she delights in travel, trying new restaurants with friends and rooting for the Arizona Cardinals: GO CARDS!
Amy, Dental Hygienist
Amy started in Dentistry in 1998 as a dental assistant, and then went on to further her education and received her Associates of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2011. She has been working with Dr. Stansberry since 2013, when he took over longtime local dentist, Dr. Hughes’ practice. Amy also teaches part-time as a Clinic Instructor in the Hygiene Program at a local valley college, and finds sharing her knowledge of hygiene to be immensely rewarding. She enjoys building personal relationships with her patients and motivating them to improve their overall health, and sincerely enjoys being a health care professional.
When she’s not in the office or teaching, she likes to travel, hike and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
Ntozake, Dental Assistant
Pronounced EN-Tuh-Zock-e, Ntozake is originally from in Brooklyn, New York. She was raised however right here in the valley, in sunny Peoria, Arizona. After spending 7 years in banking and finance, she decided to make a big career change and enrolled in All Train Dental Assisting Academy to begin her journey to become a Dental Assistant. Ntozake is an integral part of the Northern Smiles Team and helps to assist the front office, Dr. Stansberry and our Dental Hygienists in patient care and correspondence. Her main goal is to always help our patients feel better about their dental care by providing a calm (and sometimes comical!) atmosphere.
In her free time, she dreams of living near the beach (where the water is clear and warm!) and enjoys spending time with her loved ones, listening to music and cooking.
Candace, Dental Assistant
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Candace moved to Phoenix in 2000 and was quick to call Arizona “home.” She has enjoyed growing and raising her family in the valley of the sun ever since. She has extensive experience in the Dental Industry as a Dental Assistant, and is utterly passionate about educating our patients on all aspects of Dental Care. She holds patients comfort to her highest priority.
When she is out of the office she enjoys exercising, watching the Cardinals (can you tell we are big football fans around here?!) and spending time with her friends and family.
